So, what gets you cooler in hot weather?

: Tight clothes (not restricting and not spandex, but tight enough to stretch a little)

Or

: Baggy clothes, homeboy clothes, two sizes too big, t-shirts that reach past your crotch.

The fabric/color has more of an effect on that than the size

I dont really own either, so I have no preference. Baggy clothes maybe.

Tight jeans in the hot weather I am in would be horrible, because depending on your gray color they will trap some heat in. Not that much, but some. Baggy would allow for some circulation...so go baggy. But not gangsta baggy....well ok...go gangsta! :afro:

:naughty:

^Maybe it's just the crack, but I laughed so hard.

On a warm summer day, I sometimes go pole vaulting.

Nothing wrong with shorts and sleeveless shirts.

I wear long sleeves in hot weather if I'm gonna be at home, or somewhere else in the country/rural sides, simply because I'd rather be alittle hot than get hauled away by mosquitoes. :p

This ain't the bahamas wear I live, so no shorts or sleeveless shirts for me. For safety's sake.
I don't like those oily anti-insect sprays even less however, so I wear long sleeves. Usually a little loose too at that.

I normally tend to wear baggier clothing (not gangsta baggy though) year round, but every now and then, I'll wear a close fitting shirt since I'm not a fat ass and have a decent shape.

Baggy/huge clothing doesn't cool me down. If anything I'd feel warmer and dumber for wearing such things in the heat.

Tighter clothes with neutral/mild colors. I've gotten kind of sick of black shirts, neutral colors compliment the skin tone so much better.

Also, the shirts that are made of the softer stretchier cotton are the best.

Why would you wear clothes?

Because clothing wicks away sweat. I feel uncomfortable and hot if my sweat isn't wicked away.

Wick...

wick...

wicked

wicking.

Haha okay I'm done now.

Depends on humidity. If it is really sunny and dry, loose linens are the way to go, Lawrence of Arabia style. If it is hot and muggy like New Orleans, you might as well go naked.

I tend to go for clothes that doesn't make you look like a douchebag (e.g. most oversized / baggy clothes).

As for which is cooler, like most people mentioned it's more to do with colors and fabric used in the clothes itself.

I go skateboarding & normally wear baggy jeans for this reason. Also, when I play football(soccer) I like baggy jogging bottoms. I prefer skin tight top's though when I play sport... but yeah, it can depend on the material too.

Baggy is better for cooling you down...but your gonna look like a douche wearing baggy clothes.

I tend to wear baggy-ish T-shirts and jeans/combats most of the time, anyway. In the summer I wear my smaller rock tees that look really good on me. BTW, I wear baggy stuff because I've got a curvy figure so I can't wear skinny-fit jeans and T-shirts.

I wear baggy clothes because I like the style. If that makes me a douchebag in many peoples' eyes then so be it. I see no need to conform to society's opinion of what I should look like. Of course I dress appropriately for the occasion.. I certainly wouldn't show up to an interview with my boxers hanging out and ball cap cocked to the side and be surprised when I didn't get the job.

I sometimes wear all black XXXL sweats that would be baggy for a 500 pound man inside, with a trench-coat with the capability to store an entire arsenal, and I feel like I'm going to kill somebody with my invisible weapons.

For professional appointments, I just wear like some loose pants and a nice shirt.

I've been wearing baggy clothes since the style was invented, and I wouldn't be caught dead in tight clothes. Tight pants are for fags and rock stars, and I'm neither.

The same could be said of XXXL sweats / baggy clothes:

I've been wearing tight clothes since the style was invented, and I wouldn't be caught dead in baggy clothes. Baggy pants are for Wanksta's and Douchebags, and I'm neither.

As for tight clothes, there's a difference between 'skin-tight' and 'tight but still enough breathing room'.

no. you haven't been wearing tight (or regular fitting) clothes since they were invented... Unless you are like some 2000 years old. If so, then accept my apology.

The baggy clothes started showing up in like 1990, and I was in high school at the time. I've met cool people that don't wear baggy clothes, I was only joking.

I just wear loose fitting clothes, and I think they look a lot better on me.

Cool you down? Don't think so, though I do prefer the feel of them.

Tight jeans on guys are a symbol of everything that I oppose. Scarves and Converse shoes too. And vintage tees. And Walkman cassette players.

And writing poetry.

And loudly discussing 1st year philosophy on the bus.

And fixed gear brightly coloured 80s road bikes.

And attending Tokyo Police Club concerts.

And saying that you don't care what people think, but saying that because you really do care what people think of you, and you want people to think that you're too cool to care about appearances.
