Yeah, I know how to play it. But I just can't morally bring myself to do it. Also, I don't really fancy getting IP banned from Steam.

So preloading for none CZ and ATI coupon owners would be pointless and a waste of a download.

by the way, by using the cracked version steam wont ban you, or ban your ip. anyways id never download the hl2beta, but i see really nothing wrong with the cracked version, since its the same version as the cafes got pretty much

accually, by then we will be playing it legitly ,
the game runs sweet on my system aye
i got amd athlon xp 2600+
2x 512mb 333mhz ddr ram running in parralell with each other (dual channel)
geforce 4 ti4200 8x AGP 128mb
n~force 2 mainboard with dual channel support

i get between 40 and 108fps, use use full dx9 effects using command
-dx9 -shaderdll shader_nvfx_ps20.dll -dxlevel 90 -width 1024 -height 768 -fullscreen

(note i got these commands from an internet cafe when i played at on )
you have to force the game let you use direct x 9 effects, if you have a dx8 card, you only lose about 10 -15fps not much
