I have been dual booting Fedora Core 4 and Win XP for a few months now and have to say I just love it. I started out doing it because this fellow I work with writes Linux books and got me interested in its advantages over Windows. I use XP just for gaming now and FC4 for just about everything else--open source productivity tools ftw! Its a great setup and I don't know why more people don't try it out--its not that complicated and its the best of both worlds! Thoughts?

I would be restarting my pc every 10 seconds, so i just stick to XP

That the only linux OS you tried?
No, but I haven't tried any other very serious versions. Damn Small Linux was actually my first exposure! :D Knoppix was a little more interesting, but still absurd with the disc and all. I have heard great things about (K)Ubuntu as well so I might try that for a while too. Why? Ideas?

Ubuntu is considered number 1 atm :P just don't use debian.

For a while when I had only 1 good PC I had to dual boot between Win 2K (for work stuff) and Win XP (for games). Now I just have 2 different machines.

Had a triple boot once, but that was dumb!!

I'm considering getting a Linux install going again - really want to get OSX Tiger(?) installed and a drive and play around with it.
