So, this is probably a VERY bad idea to post... :D but...

Do you guys even wait for HL2 anymore? For me it somehow relaxed, first I was shaking of tension, wanting to finally make my mod... but due to all the delays and the strange E3-videos my interest somehow got lost a bit... I will probably notice that it's out, read some reviews and maybe buy it to make the mod (which I'm still eager to make!). But I don't expect a groundbreaking revolutionary game anymore... there's an alternative (game) coming out almost every week. HL2 will (to me) be some game with a good engine to mod, nothing more.

Okay, this said I'm running for cover and await replies :)

I feel the same way. I remember e3 2003. When they showed the hl2 video. I felt like a kid on christmas day. However, recently my "HL2-hype" has fallen a few feet, and I'm just expecting the game to come out sometime this year. I'm not over-exited anymore. Just a waiting HL1-fan.

Yeah, I've been waiting so long it seems like it doesn't matter anymore. I'm not on the edge of my seat like last summer, I feel like whenever it comes out that's fine.

Im not really that interested right now, not posted or look on the main hl2 forum for ages, just hang around offtopic. But when it goes gold I'll be happy.

I am the same way, hype can only last so long. Maybe Valve will release a new, never before seen clip or something and get the hype back. Who knows... but they better do something before release.

Ive been patiently waiting for HL2 for god knows how long. When i first heard about it i was so excited but its been so long that ive past caring about when its coming out. When it is actually out though ill probably be pretty excited again, especially when i see the HL2 install screen...ill be like :cheese:

I feel the same, after 30th september last year I was disapointed so went to waste my time on other things instead of waiting in the early hours of the morning for the binks to be released ect. Stopped visiting these forums from October->this July.

Not so say I wont be ecstatic when hl2 comes through my letterbox, but at the moment I am more laid back so a November release seems ok.

To be honest, I only come to this forum out of habit and to see what some of the old timers are posting. You know people who have been here since the beginning of this site.

As for HL2, if it comes out tomorrow I'll give myself a week before getting it, I don't like being trampled and yes, my enthusiasm has fallen off.

I don't really come here just for HL2 more either... I'm looking forward to Bloodlines and World of Warcraft more right now...

I'll sure as Hell buy it the day it comes out, though, but all my anticipation was spent last year.

I used to wait, but... you can only wait for so long.

Now it's like death .... you know some day you'll die, but you think it's so far in the future you're really not bothered about it.

Who knows, maybe i'll be pleasantly suprised. (about HL2, not death)

I was really hyped about the game up until the time it was delayed. Even after that I was still looking forward to it a lot, but slowly the excitement of just thinking about halflife2 has worn off. Most of that, is the fact that it was leaked. Something about not knowing if that guy posting in the big theory thread has actually played it, or they are speculating like everyone else. I remember, the big thread which was there for every to post theories in, and it was really exciting. I think also, the gradual release of more media, and knowing how the game begins has soiled it a little.

I'm really looking forward to Bloodlines, Rome:Total War and Warhammer 40k Dawn Of War. Mostly because I don't know all that much about the story, but alos individually I know little about the games. Ok, so I played the Dawn of War beta, and the demo but I know little of the singleplayer campaign. I've played the Rome: Total War demo, but I haven't seen the full product with the campaign map etc. As for bloodlines, well I've seen how it looks and know a little about it being an RPG etc, but beyond that I don't know an awful lot about it.

I don't care about HL2 anymore. It is just another game to me right now. I used to be really hyped, but not anymore.

I would leave this forum, but they put "a highly addictive substance" in the forum water so I can't leave. :( Basically, I'm only here for a couple of people who still post in these forums. If they left, I would probably leave too.

NO!!! what if Kerry gets elected? will you be leaving us! Say it isnt so!!! No one stays just for Bush NO ONE! unless you're talking figuratively ...then everyone likes a bit of Bush :naughty:

I stick around for pretty much the same reasons as everyone else: you guys! ...I dont even read the HL2 discussion on a regular basis because it's full of n00bs bickering and insulting amongst themselves to see who is the biggest fanboy ...but all the other sections rock ..I even read the development pages; anything but the discussion or CS:S forums cuz they make me angry, which makes my temple throb and my vision blur ...which makes me do awful things :E

I come for the game, but stay for the pie.

*takes another bite of the delicious HL2.net pie*
