I just got back from the store, holy cheese and rice. People have gone mad, they use shopping carts as lethal weapons. It's like a swarm of locus in the electronics department. I usually wait and do all my shopping in one day, it's not like I buy a whole lot of stuff for everyone. I get my mom some stuff, get my brothers and their families boxes of candy.
I'm actually done early this year. I almost always wait untill the day before christmas eve. I was listening to people in the store saying, "Ya just getting my last second shopping done". I was like.. "Last second??", Hello!! Theres a freaking week before christmas yet, I hardly call that last second. Modern day thinking for ya.
The only reason I even buy stuff is because I feel guilty on the 25th, this person gives me this, my mom got me that. I'd feel kinda stupid and bad if I didn't get something for them... That's where this whole holiday went wrong I think, plus you have the age old I bought you something bigger then you bought me wars..
It's was so much easier when I was younger.. All I had to do was get dressed up in those awful cloths (that never fit, but mom said "Wear them anyways!") your parents bought you the day before christmas, then open your stuff. Ahh, where have those days gone!!
