Title is pretty self explanatory... do you play single player of any kind of games the same as you do multiplayer?

I know I don't, with sp I usually go slower, look for more ways to do cool things in the game.... in mp it's all just run and gun in fps's and in rts's its build as fast as you can... so how about you?

Pretty much every game that is an action game, like HL2, where there isn't any stealth or anything like that, I do. If it's like Splinter Cell, then no.

I take my time in SP, using cover and all that. But sometimes I run headfirst into a firefight just for the thrill of it.

I usually play 2 ways with SP:

Conservative: usage of cover, peeking around corners, trading rounds in a firefight etc...

Rambo: charge right in, get up close and personal.

Multiplayer is different, you have to play to win.

Generally no, because the feeling isn't the same. In SP you usually know that if you screw up you can just reload and be more prepared, in MP you can be surprised at any time and you can't redo it. I play SP in a more relaxed fashion than MP, though sometimes SP can be quite stressful too.

No, I usually like to take a look around before moving on in SP, but in MP it's all about run and shoot. Except in Splinter Cell: CT SP and CO-OP(thats mp right?) which I like to play the same in both.

Any game that doesn't have multiplayer truely fails to interest me. It's not the same. The AI is usually good, but it's not real people. With a SP game, you beat and that's it. Maybe it's good enough for a second time through, but beyond that, you're done.

true, but the time it takes to complete the sp can be much better than online experience

I don't think you really can play MP games like SP games. You might have a certain style of play you use for both but it's ultimately going to be different. It's not only that you can take your time in SP, go off looking everywhere, and being able to replay parts over in different ways, but in MP there's always interaction going on and the human element. Playing with other players forces you to change up your game style. Even if you have a very set way of playing a game you have to mix it up against other people.

I think that goes for every game type. In SP FPS games I'm the kind of person who likes to take things slow and cautious most of the time, I can let my reactions be a little slower and take my leisure when time allows. In MP FPS I never stop moving unless the situation absolutely calls for it. I can't take a lot of downtime, and I can't be slow in my reaction or inaccurate in my shots because then it's over. And you add in the unpredictability of people and you just can't play in that slow, steady manner if you want to come out on top. They do unexpected things and you have to react to that, be on the ball. And that's true whether you're playing an FPS, a strategy game, a fighting game, what have you.

I tend to semi-roleplay SP regardless of genre. MP, I play for fun.

I always look for secrets in mp just like in sp. Places that have advantage etc.

mp gives fun, sp waist my time ...........j/k :naughty: usually I play sp more.

O-P-E-R-A-T-I-O-N F*CKING FLASHPOINT

Requires skill, reaction time, !Patience!, strategy, reasoning, everything. Especially Patience.

Those two modes are very different, SP is generally easier going since you can load anytime while MP I get the 'play-to-win / kick-some-ass' mentality.
