I mean Bush the man, not his legacy of failure.

And I don't mean forgotten as the definition, but rather way out of the spotlight.

Do you think Bush will be able to leave the white house and live on his ranch and do whatever else he does in life quietly without very much fanfare? We all are aware his legacy will likely remain, but in a sense, I wonder if the legacy will be somewhat detached from the man.

Think Bush the man will fade off into the night, or do you think he'll be forever hounded and harassed and protested for all his poor decisions as president?

I think that people will protest for about a week. Then, like everyone else in America, they will lose interest then go back to saddling horses and drinking whiskey.

And btw, 8 left.

This guy has no conscience, he honestly believes in his ****ed up head that he did nothing wrong. The million or so people that have died as a result of his actions doesn't bother him one bit. For this reason I wish that there was a heaven/hell.

Will he be forgotten? History will judge him as one of the worst presidents ever, but I think he will try to fade off in to darkness and most americans will probably forget about him in about a year. Then again I heard some time ago he is planning to release a book, so I could be wrong.

I think, because of his legacy of failure, he wont be forgotten simply because of what he did. Its too big of a connection.

Transform the beachball to the earth, and the illusion is complete.

Short of pure evil, selling out your ex presidents after a shitty run in office just isn't good business practice, so I reckon America will want to forget him as quickly as possible.

To be fair, W will be released tomorrow, still within his presidency. We're not out of his presidency yet.

I made this thread, because I personally have the opinion and the worry that he'll just fade off into a life of obscurity, basically getting off easy for his atrocious efforts.

One thing I've wondered a little about...
I don't really want to sound ignorant and my knowledge of how politics work and all is pretty limited but...

Should we really be crucifying Bush for all the shit that's happened for the past few years?
I mean, isn't he basically just the puppet? We should be focusing our hate on the administration and probably Cheney too.

The question is, will he be forgiven.

Depends on who is doing the forgiving. 95% of the World will not. 20-ish% of the USofA will.

[Edit]
So I estimate that a total of 360 Million people will forgive him. 400 Max.

20-ish% of the USofA think he's done nothing wrong and he was the greatest president ever after Reagan.

Hating Bush is overrated.

I think Americans won't forgive him, but history might. Look at Harry Truman.

George Bush 43 is the Nixon of the 21st century. Revered by some, loathed by most.He won't be forgotten.
