We know the HECU and black ops were sent to BM to cover everything out but I believe that there was more type of marines/the army that were sent to black mesa but never seen.

I already find it hard enough to believe that Black Ops were sent to BM to clean up the marines. The whole 'silencing the silencers' thing just felt like a transparent mechanism to fit in more human enemies.
You could add on yet another layer in your imagination, if you want, but only if they're chasing Black Ops and the marines to the tune of Yakety Sax.

The black ops were sent in AFTER the marines started pulled out after failing to control the situation. They were the last resort option, go in, clean it up and then nuke it.
I've always thought It did make a lot of sense. If the marines fail at their job, what do you do: send more marines? pull out and forget about BMRF? Or send in the "special" guys?
Makes you wonder why didn't they send the Black Ops from the get go.
Or why they kept the orders from the Marines so long. They just found out why they were there while still in the planes.
I believe that Shepard wakes up from the crash of his Osprey about a third of the way through Freeman making his way through Black Mesa. 15 or 20 Minutes in Shepard hears that emergency call for everyone to evacuate, where Gordon hears that same message 12 hours into the game.
