Do you think supermodels are too thin?

I just saw on another fashion show on TV and it seems the supermodels are getting thinner... I personally think that they are too thin, they are like stickmen with clothes :|

Wait... your run-of-the-mill disposable runway models or the more famous ones? If it's the former, definately... but it seems strange to me that the models all strive for this ultra-thin look while the ones that become famous don't actually look like that. The famous ones tend to have more curves, yet the average ones still starve themselves to look like stick figures. Where is the logic? It's seems about as straightforward as "If ducks quack, then... Berlin is the capitol of Germany."

The ones I have seen (Both famous and average) Are rather thin. Then women get the impression that is what they are menat to look like, then aneroxia. :|

Slim can be very attarctive, thin is not.

And they reckon cuz everyone whos in advertising, most celebs, most movie stars are thin that's why we get eating disorders like anorexia or bulimia. They only occur in western cultures.

Someone in the industry needs to take responsibility.

yeah slim is fine, being healthy n all that. Too fat isn't good, too thin isn't good. middle of the road is fine. I don't mind a girl who's got some curves to her, but I am totally put off if she's too thin or too fat. There's just nothing attractive about seeing a girl's bones sticking out of her skin.. They just all remind me of salad fingers im afraid lol.

On the other hand, manga / anime girls are better thin

They are way too thin, I could probably curl their whole body weight with just one arm. Not only that but I don't find super models to be attractive at all. People always say, "She is so hot!" I tend to disagree on 99% of the cases.

Exactly. My current gf is thin, but not so much that she's anorexic-like. I hate that stereotype. My last ex was also a model, she had a bit of baby chub, she was still a model, actually has a modelling shoot down in T.O. next month.

I hate the stereotype that models are too thin. But yes, most supermodels (or so whoever says they're "supermodels"), have little body, it's a trend, I hope it's a fad that will fade.

Indeed supermodels are getting too thin and it's having a negative impact on girls imo, how do you think a 10 year old girl reacts to seeing a girl that looks like she has anorexia on TV that's superfamous and "popular"?
