Do you want the [.img] [/img] tags back?

Yesterday I put out a request to let us use the [.img] [/img] tags again, but not everybody is so sure about this.

Ofcourse there would be rules about what you can post and what not. I'm not sure what rules the mods have in mind, but I can imagine at least these rules would be applied.

* No shocking material
* No porn
* Do not f*ck up the lay out of the board

What the conseqeunces would be if these rules would be broken is up to the mods.

Why would we want it back? Ex. there's a thread about classic cars. Now wouldn't be "better" "more fun" "easier" to have the pictures in the thread self instead of attachments you'd have to click in every post to actually view the car?

So, do we want it or... meh.

P.s. thanks for reminding me Letters. This isn't about sig images, if I may quote Chris_D "That's a big no no."

I'd be for it if:

A) There is a file size limit.
B) Larger images would be scaled down if they exceeded the width of the post boxes and
a set height.
C) No signature images.

I'd say insta ban if someone would post Goatse pictures or nudity. It only needs a bit of common sense to know that something like that isn't tolerated on a gaming board were alot of underage people come.

hmm.. as well as the forums are taken care of by mods/admins i still feel that the img tags should stay be disabled..

why i say this? well these days mods/admins are around much more.. say some X-mas most of the mods/admins are too busy to not only post here, but also too busy to actually keep the forum from becoming a porn site..

right now enabling this option seems good.. but what about if there are no mods/admins available during the X-mas holidays (perhaps they are too busy with real life.. IE family/friends) and some fruitcake decides "oooooh today i feel like posting goatse all over the forums?

i realize its an assumption and could be true or not true.. in the spirit of X-mas, i do not want to take that chance and see goatse or any other porn

The thing is though people don't come here for porn and don't expect it here, also I certainly don't want a porn image to appear while I'm at colledge or my parents are in the room, not only that but not everyone who likes Hl2, like porn it will ruin the sites reputation, there are different levels of indecency people are prepared to accept meaning somone might not mind mild prono but might find facials or other such things repulsive.
