You have to edit steams cache to get it. Apparently, whoever first made the theory about the other videos being on our harddrive was right. Perhaps there are more? :bounce:

EDIT: You need to use a Hex editor.

1) Open your cache file in "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamCache\youremail\half-life 2 movies"

2) Search for "Video" (Case sensitive!)

3) Replace both "G-Man"s with "docks"

4) Save the file, and load Steam.

wtf?? okay, I realize that I have already dled the docks video without me knowing... but I didn't do the hex editor thing... all I did was go into Steam, then HL2 Media, saw Docks there and clicked on it, then the video loaded... very sweet!

What's all of this 'hex it out'????

The 400mb file on your hdd you could say it a platform. A base. So when you download the movie it's easier to resume etc if it stuffs up somehow.

You all know what I mean? So when you download the official gaps get filled in the cache. The movie files aren't in the 400mb cache.

How is that possible? I know dialup people who have that 400mb cache file.

I was wondering about something... if I uninstall CS (1.5) will that affect cs 1.6 so I'll have to download everything over again or are they both completely separate?
