DoD:S runs crappy on latest ati drivers

what gives? I get less fps using 5.9 catalyst drivers than I did with 5.7 ...is there something I'm missing cuz DoD:S becomes unplayable for a few secs during the most crucial times ..I upgraded to 5.9 because steam asked me to ...should I just roll back? anyone have issues with 5.8 drivers? anyone know where I can get it?

i am using 5.9 and i am still getting good fps with it. How big of a difference are you talking about?

it stutters ...havent compared fps because there's no real difference while playing ..it just hiccups for a second then back to normal ..almost like a slideshow which only happens periodically ..usually during intense action

I'm using CAT 5.8 and have no issues. Runs very smooth on my X800XTPE at 1280x1024, 4xAA, 8xAF, everything high.
There was no reason for me to upgrade to the CAT 5.9 as the 5.8 handles all my games very well.
