Dod:S to be sold via retail for $10ish?

That thread is talking about upgrading Retail (Normal) HL2 to Steam Silver.

As for your question about DOD:S in stores, that will depend on whether Activison and Vavle reach an agreement about it, since Activison has the distribution rights to DOD.

Also, DOD:S is still (probably) several months away from release, so who knows what our options will be for it then.

I can't imagine them selling it for any less than $20 retail. If you plan on playing DOD:S regularly, then Silver is your best choice. I would suggest creating a new Steam account to purchase the game so that you can enjoy two HL accounts. (you can even give the old one to a friend or something)
