DoD source screwup!

I preloaded it for the free weekend, as you do. And it completed loading. But if I load it up, it just gets stuck on that picture of a Valve guy with a valve in his eye, with no sound, and it hangs there for ages until i Cntrl - Alt - Del out of it. Any help?

Mabey it's your computer hardware, are your video drivers up to date. Mabey video card?

Mind giving us more detail - system specs, crash messages etc?

No crash message, but my system is:

Pentium 4 CPU 2.4gH, 1 gB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700VE (Not the latest drivers, I'll go grab em), anything else you guys need? I managed to play it last free weekend, but that was ages ago.

verify the files, sometimes steam says its done pre loading when it actually isn't.
