DOD Source

Maybe it's been discussed already but I have to announce my feelings. I think DOD Source is gonna be absolutely amazing. Mostly becausde of the physics, but the graphics as well. I can't even begin to imagine all the mortars going off and bodies flying through the air. It's going to be ridiculous. But I wont pla until after I finish HL2 single player ofcourse. :cheese: Any other thoughts on this?

Yes, I can imagine myself with a mg42 in a dark hole somewhere and then some allied soldiers run past. I open fire and they go down in a lump. It is truly going to be a great game, that is, if they make it a good enough game.

They should make one. Valve already announced (well not announced, but SAID) DOD Source is in the makings.

There will probably be a forum for DoD:Source when some details surface. Right now we don't know anything other than it's being developed.

I definitely think DoD:Source has the potential to be something much greater than CS:Source if they give it the same polish. I would love to see vehicles also but first just get the game updated and looking great because the current version of DoD would work wonders in the source engine.

DOD:S will be better than CS:S but until then CS:S will hold me over.

And the only vehicles i really want to see would be like PT Boats on dod_charlie. Jeeps and stuff might ruin the game.

I'm glad that the dev team has stated they won't be implementing vehicles in say a bf1942 way, but are gonna stay true to the squad-based nature of DoD. It's arguably the best WW2 multiplayer game around for a reason Not bad a for a game originally based on an engine that came out 6 years ago lol.
