Does anybody remember...

When Half life 2 was supposed to be developed by a different developer, and not valve? I remember droves of people flaming boards with outrage and so on. I think it was Ritual entertainment or something, but I could be wrong. Now, it seems HL2 has silently transitioned back to having valve as the developer seemingly right under people's noses. The outrage has subsided, but there's been no mention of it, officially or otherwise. wtf?

Well, it must have been CS:CZ that I was thinking about. And obviously their developer situation hasn't changed. Bah.

Yea I knew you were talking about CS:CZ. And it was never being developed by Valve in the first place. Gearbox was making it and they were really slow so they gave it to "Ritual Entertainment" to complete.

Yeah he is right. There was a rumour that HL2 was going to be developed by another company. So much for that. Valve all the way.
