have really annoying browser crashes when streaming video using wmp format
like those found at kontraband.com
mozilla firefox has enormous problems remaining stable playing them and IE isnt much better

if i click on anything the film goes blank but the sound keeps playing. So i just can't pause/rewind, it's not too serious.

Same problem. If that happens to me I just move another window over it for a sec, then you can see it again.

Yeah me too. I just use IE to view videos. Its still annoying though.

You just have to right-click on the page, choose "show page information" (or something similar; I don't have the English Firefox version), choose the "Media" tab and look for a movie link. Copy, paste in the address box and ENTER. Check your settings, so that when an adress indicates a wmv file, it downloads it instead of playing it in a window.
