Those bloody annoying moments in Half Life 1 - When G-Man was right in front of you but ALWAYS behind a locked door, is unbreakable glass..... it was just soooooo frustrating :(
I hope that these moments are back in HL2 but its unlikely due to HL1 being pretty much boxed in and HL2 being so free roaming...

Well, i doubt that we will have a chance to kill him. As i really wanted to do that in hl1 :)

Yeah - we cant kill him lol - but he was just sooo bloody annoying i nthe first lol - the way he non-chalently walks past that locked door with u on the other side and a shotgun...

The g-man can't die! Not nobody not no-how!

there is 1 time where u can shoot him, its the first time u see him and he walks across the top of a balcony. he is invincible tho :|

I tried the cheat for clipping through walls or something like that a long time ago. Hitting him with the rocket launcher did nothing.

Off-topic: Wouldn't it be cool if HL2 was not following just one story, but you could choose your own paths along the way? Maybe HL3 will be like that. If you shoot a specific person, the whole main story changes, and new things are revealed.

Oh I remember how I had to restart levels in CoD for accidnetly shooting Cpt Foley in the head with an MG42, those were the days

In opposing forces it was possible to shoot the gman with a rocket launcher without cheating, though he lives always. At the part where the hangar door closes as you're running to get extracted, if you aim low you can easily shoot him in the legs with a rocket launcher.

Man, have we tried to kill that person! Always walking just outside of your grasp with that silly suitcase.
I gave up after cheating and finding out that there's no death animation of gman.
alas.

There is a gman death animation. How else does he die in HLDM?

You're right. Never thought of that..well I guess he's just unkillable.

All human characters share the same skeleton in HL (and probably HL2) so he did have a death anim.

In game I believe he's flagged as an unbreakable object, metal more specificly, since he makes a metal sound if you hit him with a crowbar.
