I have these two games, resident evil 4 and tales of symphonia, and I wonder if they support hd output. Anyone know?

Please use the correct forum. *Moved*

No GC games do to my knowledge.

are you sure about resident evil because I read in a review that it doesn't support.

I wasn't even aware that the Gamecube supported Hi-Def in any titles.

Doesn't Wind Waker support HD progressive scan or something along those lines?

no, it supports 50 or 60hz modes.

You can buy an S-Video cable and then you can get a nice picture...

.. or you can get what looks like HD. (VGA)

//if you do what I did, i use a S-Video to VGA converter box. Although the cube doesn't have a VGA output, when you convert S-Video to VGA the signal looks only slightly lesser than VGA.

Even though the cube doesn't "broadcast" in HD you can plug it into one (HD TV) and it should look sharp. Just use the best hook up cables your TV will accept.

On the cube it does not support true widescreen instead it just uses a letterbox. The PS2 version does.

And yes many gamecube games operate at 480p with the component cables.

I run my Cube through a scart socket, and where possible run the games on wide.

I'm not too keen on 60Hz mode, it doesn't look too good, and the colours may need adjusting. (Especially in Mariokart).
