Does the AWP have a different colour depending on the video card?

This question has been running through my mind for quite a while and I thought I might as well share it, my computer runs a Nvidia 6800GT and the colour of my awp scope is black, while I noticed some players have silver scopes, any theorys? Explanations?

Why would you think that the scope is silver to other players? Maybe they are lieing to you.

Edit - No, there's obviously no literal change in color, although people with dx7 might suffer from poor cubemaps or something, which has a drastic effect on reflecting models such as the AWP.

First, because I have seen their screenshots.
Second, might someone who is working in Valve be running a dx7?

And there are always custom skins....maybe detail level changes it slightly, or maybe your gamma is low. Does it matter?

Are you sure they aren't just using a custom model or skin?
