Misc was a spamfest and postcount inlargement centre. If I were in charge here even more threads would be locked.

2) You can raise your objections by making Stupid Threads, earning yourself our specially-crafted Departure Vouchers (only 15 required for your journey from this wonderful place!)

It seems like the more you integrate yourself within a community, the more you start to consider it as a real, functional society. Running up against the bounds of forum rules and moderation comes as a shock because you expect them to be roughly as flexible as minor laws and social codes in real life, but instead they're static and authoritarian.

If we lock every thread you like, why do you come here? Our rules are very reasonable - this is not 4chan or a chatroom, it's a discussion forum. We are far, far more lenient than most large forums - see Something Awful or facepunch for example. Also, feel free to talk negatively about me as long as you have a valid reason, it's the outright flames that will get you banned. Just expect me to call you on it and destroy you with the might of my intellect and will.

This site reminds me of an Alpha-Dog. We all pet it and love it, respect it, bring it food... but give it some raw steak it will gladly consume filled with parasites, and you can bring it to it's knees, make it moan for help as you watch it die. And then after that? The parasites are the new kings.

Oh, I never had any problem with the moderation here.

I feel pretty secure that I won't be booted for something insignificant. I feel they are pretty lenient to be honest.
 
Normally I feel very compelled to give my 2 cents in these kinds of threads but this time I feel absolutely no need at all. Because I have no complaints. Maybe it's because I'm not as into hl2.net as I used to be, or that I'm just happy sexually harassing toaster.
