It looks a little like a lambda, I guess. It's probably unintentional.
 
This is going to be one of those senile moments that Stern has, and when he realizes what he posted, hes going to come back and say he was obviously mocking some other idiots.
 
i very much doubt it's unintentional. it's a bit too glaringly obvious to be unintentional.

it's something that looks like a lambda from valve, the people who go day to day with having that symbol be a part of one of their biggest hits. it's next to a three. no one is saying this is anything drastically breaking news - it could just be a little easter egg for the **** of it - but nevertheless it's just... something.

edit: i mean jesus christ even the ****ing ends are bent the same way.

edit: the fact that his knuckle (or pinky finger, even) is slightly hidden by a shard of glass is pretty jarring too. his right hand is fully shown, his left, next to the lambda like vein, is the three.

like i said, this doesn't have to mean anything. nothing at all, it's just cool.

I thought you guys were talking about the three being just the fact that he was 3 fingers (which he doesn't, he has all four but his pinky is hidden by that glass). BUT because that glass is there, his fingers actually form the written 3 which i didnt notice before. And yeah, the lambda is bent at the right spot, even though it then continues down afterwards.

**** you guys, I just felt a pang of excitement, which means torture when it comes to valve.

From my analysis, since there are four boxes of information on the left side, and the fact that the prominent veins are on his left arm, and that he has three fingers showing, this must mean LEFT 4 DEAD 3.

what would you having posted already in the thread have anything to do with what i said? you thought you were the only one which led me to believe you hadn't read the thread, as looking back through it, you quite obviously aren't. you having posted already means jacksquat to having read it - plenty of people post without reading the rest of the thread. not to imply you did just that, but i'm just saying.

I have to agree that's too damn coincidental for it to be an accident. Either way it's fun to speculate because you may accumulate...shit.

it's most likely something they've thrown out into the wild to create a bit of buzz, to assure people that they are at least showing some signs of getting the words half-life and 3 out there, regardless of how much of a minor thing this is. valve haven't given anything to anymore in months, maybe a year now (?), this is probably the first little thing since.

again, no one is saying it's anything. it most likely isn't. all i see in this thread is people saying it looks like the lambda and a three, nothing more and nothing less.
