imagine a small settlement of resistance hidden away surrounded by tree's. not too far from another settlement so they can get supplys and stuff they need. they have shelter a small building that they use as a hospital and food storage shelters etc. does that sound like a load of crap or do you think it could happen

Hell yeah, it's definately plausible. You just have to make sure the two settlements aren't too close together. Think carefully about how you are going to write this. I'm looking forward to the story.

Don't see why not. Hidden away on an abandoned farm in the crook of a mountain valley or something...as long as it's out somewhere in the wilderness. Remember, the Combine have more important things to do than to scour every single bit of alien-infested countryside for resistance members, especially when you factor in the antlion population.

cheers for the replys. i have an author working on the pilot episode. oh yeh i forgot to mention what this whole thing is about. im gona start a machinima project that is liek a television series based on a hospital in this settlement. i think with a good script this would be really good but im just going to release the pilot and see what people think of it.

Nice! You doing it with custom animation and faceposer, or just filming in HL2DM?
Either way, I'd quite like to be involved in a story-writing sort of way...

well i probally wont use custom animations for this because that would be hard lol ive never been able to get anything more than a prop model into hl2. but if it turns out looking crap i will have to sort something out. but yeah i am using face poser. the pilot episode is looking really good and i had been thinking about getting different people to write each episode to get a different style in each one so ill pm you or sumthin if your interested.

lol kool. i am still waiting on the script. but will post it as soon as its done but it wont be written like a script cuz my auther dont know how lol. ive just learnt how to animateso i may well make some more animations for the characters. and also ive got to figure out how to make npc characters hold objects. i knwo its possible cuz u see citizens holding newspapers and stuff.
