Hello!

I've been made redundant. As of the 20th of November, I will be out of work with no job in my field looking likely.

Tesco is a callin'! Just wanted to share and get a shower of pity.

Anyone else getting hammered by the "credit crunch"?

That's a bunch of mother****ers sir.

Have some /pity.

I CAN'T GET A JOB EITHER.

I actually just got a job. Starting tomorrow!

Damn that sucks, I'm sure you'll get back up and sorted out though :)

you could always sell one of your kidneys/ lungs/ that second penis we all know you have.

Sorry to hear the credit crunch hit you. My dads at risk at redundancy too since his company is being taken over. Possibly the worst time to due to the recession and all.

sorry to hear that but hopefully this will lead to something else ..use this opportunity to find a job in the career path you want to end up in. I'd start looking right now because no one is hiring mid november (except temp help for holidays) and there's usually a hiring freeze till at least mid january as people wind down from the holidays ..the first few weeks of 2009 are crucial as companies take assessment of their year and decide whether to expand or not. good luck and dont be discouraged; at least they didnt fire you

I have a secure job at a electronics retailer, but I'm going to a graduate jobs convention next friday to find something in my 'field' of expertise

Sell your body.

Get a job doing something in the entertainment industry. Economy aint got no hold on the Entertainment industry yo.

And whats a Dole Queue? A line for Dole branded vegetables?

I lost my job of over a year back in June/July as the companys orders dropped and they didnt have enough work for me :(

Couldn't find work for over 4/5 months but starting a new job on Monday making idiot guides for people who don't know how to use there gadgets woohoo!

Sorry to hear about your job loss, What exactly is your area of expertise?

Also, if Tescos it is, then Tescos it is. It's far better to be working stacking shelves, etc than on the dole if you can avoid it (it's a recipe for apathy in my experience). It generally sits better when you do have a career job to go to if your already working, plus you'll be far more relaxed in any interviews you might have because it won't seem 'life or death' and they are more likely to offer you a decent wage as opposed to skivvy pay.

Anyone want Milk on their Credit Crunch?

F-F-F-Fanks you guys. :D

I'm in construction, I'm a technician/draughtsman for part of a structural engineering firm. Not a lot of work out there because the market just plain sucks.

I've already got a few back-ups to consider if I don't get anything doing what I'm doing right now. I have no idea where to go from there though. I might just have to work a lower paying job for as long as it takes to get back up and running.

Harsh man.

I say we go round to R. Ecession's house and kick him in his nads.
