but here are some maps I made for Clan Texangirlz a few months back.
I promised them another one... but... I'm soooo... lazy... that and I hit a brick wall on the texture limit (8megs).

FY Counter-Strike map. Really high quality textures.

heh its easily missed all the way down there at the bottom on its own :) If you ask one of the moderators of this section (Farrowlesparrow or Sgt.Igneri) nicely I'm sure they'll move it over there for you.
 
This could technically be considered art too though, but the mapping forum seems to need all the help it can get:
I hadn't noticed it either, and i've been posting here for a few months now. :cheese:

Good question... especially since I can only see 5 or 6 textures being used.
 
There's also very little point using high-resolution textures (which is what I assume he did) when they can only be in 256 colours anyway.
 
I hit the upper limit on my OTHER map. it was twice as big and had alot more textures. As for seeing high res textures, the resolution is the amount of pixles that make up the texture, NOT the colors. and each individual texture is allowed a palete of 256 colors, there is no one palete, so 256 is quite a bit of color.

This map has only a few textures used, becasue those where textures that Bosshog wanted me to build the map around.

I might go back and redo the other map some day (meaning I can pull myself away form FFXI) and switch all the textures from 256x256 back to 128x128.
