I recently posted about cpu fans and I decided to go for the zalman fans.

I have two choices:

Zalman CNPS7000B-AlCu

or

Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu

The differences between those two fans are the weight (Zalman CNPS7000B-AlCu = 438g, Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu = 755g), the materials they are made of (Zalman CNPS7000B-AlCu = aluminium + copper, Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu = pure copper) and the price (Zalman CNPS7000B-AlCu = AUD$33.50, Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu = AUD$50.30)

My cpu is p4 3.06ghz 478 and its stock fan creates unbearable noise pollution (you can hear my fan in my room from the living room which is about 10 meters in distance!)

I was going to buy the pure copper one but then I heard about p4 478 cpu's maximum weight of thier fans to be 450g. It seems like al-cu one is a better choice for its money/performance but I really really want to silence my computer and I have a video card with passive cooling that generates too much heat (approx. 60-70 idle).

I don't know which one to choose. Will Al-Cu satisfy my needs or do I need the pure copper one to shut my computer up?

Help!

Thank in advance

I'd just go with the Copper/Al combo based on Price.
Although copper conducts better but it actually does not transfer heat to air as well as Alumnium. So if you want a slow fan then Alumnium might be better. I dunno.
If you had a good amount of air going over the heatsink then i'd say copper all the way...but that would be loud.
