Has anybody seen the trailer for "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"? I saw the trailer, but never read the book. I've always wanted to read it, and seeing that trailer spurred me to buy the book and read it. I feel kind of sad doing it, though, considering I read a book based on the fact a movie would be made out of it (but I always wanted to read it...) At least it isn't as sad as watching the movie, THEN reading the book.

Is anybody else excited about this movie?

yeah, that was posted here a while ago :) I'm excited as hell, I love that[those] book[books]

everytime i watch that trailer i get a chill down my spine, if it's done properly (hopefully) it will own your pance, my pance, and my cat's pance into the next dimension.

wtf is a pance? :D

But yeah, I want to see that/those.

possibly the best book(s) ever. Douglas Adams is one of my heroes and is a genious :) those books are actually based on a series of radio episodes based on the same events (that DA came up with) <3 Hitchhikers guide

and remember that towl!

I read the first chapter of the book, earths destruction was so lame I could not bear myself to continue reading.

LOOK AT MY NAME!!!! LOOK AT IT!!!!! dont you think im exited? IM THE ONLY ONE TO HAVE DOUGLAS ADAMS INSCRIBED INTO MY NAME!!!! (well, the meaning of life, anyway).

Heh, perhaps the humour of it was lost on you :p

I like how Earth is destroyed so a Hyperspace route can be paved through it, then 5 minutes later they discover technology that renders Hyperspace routes obsolete. Sucks for the Earth, man.

Seems nice.

But why are the actors American?
Pfft, cuz Americans are better, that's why (I'm kidding, I'm kidding, please don't hate me :D )

I remember hearing Douglas Adams saying that the only character that HAD to be British was Arthur Dent. Anyone else really didn't matter I guess (I mean, they're all aliens.)

By the sounds of it not only lost but never found in a sock drawer in granny's house.

How anyone can't like the books/radio play/TV series/(will see about the film) is beyond me :(
