Don't use swear words when in England

I'd be in more trouble if I swore infront of my parents :\

I wonder if **** (c u next tuesday) gets a heftier fine.........:O

I would be fined lots if I were ever to be overheard in Dooram. I've only seen a police officer once though and that was out of term time :/

"A teenager is refusing to pay an £80 on-the-spot fine imposed by a police officer who overheard him swearing in a private conversation with friends."

"Kent Police said fixed penalty notices were just one tool to help them to tackle anti-social behaviour."

*boggle*

I'm not too bothered since the last time there was a police officer on the street close enough to hear what I'm saying is... errr... never.

The guy in the video seems like a total chav so he was probably saying it loudly.

No way! He has freedom of speech. If they don't like it they can wear ear plugs. You can't fix someone to go along with society otherwise you are just like a Combine piece of shit.

The sardonic part of me wants to laugh hysterically at that.

But the freedom-of-speech part of me is shattered.

"Swearing and abusive behaviour certainly is not normal"
Do you ever visit a little thing called the 'real-world' miss Rook?

Silence, or you shall be disciplined! You anti-socialite!

Seriously, the worst that would happen here is the person would get a warning if they were swearing loudly or disturbing others. If they get hostile after that, then fine em for being anti-social.

QFT, as a matter of fact I am studying ASB at Uni at the moment

You can find the Act here. The indexing is good enough, but actually reading some of the transcripts :x

Dispersal of groups and removal of persons under 16 to their place of residence
(1) This section applies where a relevant officer has reasonable grounds for believing-
  • (a) that any members of the public have been intimidated, harassed, alarmed or distressed as a result of the presence or behaviour of groups of two or more persons in public places in any locality in his police area (the "relevant locality"), and
  • (b) that anti-social behaviour is a significant and persistent problem in the relevant locality.

I've been looking up and down the whole thing, and I can't see anything for swearing, that £80 fine is just made up, considering nobody actually complained about that guy

Weird, isnt this violating the freedom of speech?

Anyway, a guy in my school says that he cannot curse in his house and play games for more then 15 minutes (if the game is non-violence).
Feel poor for the guy, wish his parents could come to my house and they will get an orgasm of cursing :D My dad, mom, me, sister, sisters-boyfriend curses 24/7...and now when the olympics is on the TV, its a lot of cursing i can tell ya!

Whatever you do, do not try this :x

I'm having problems with finding "freedom of speech act" on the UK sites. Is there a variation of the name of the Act that the UK government passed?
