That feeling of really wanting to just go to bed and sleep, but you know that you have work to do and it can't be put off.

Whats worse, is that this isn't your typical work. This is art...Now, it might seem easy but at least for me, if I'm not in the mood then I find it almost impossible to do anything beyond sketches, even if I'm drawing from life or a picture rather than my imagination. What they want, is an A1* sized picture of myself and the background :x

*(For anyone who doesn't know what that means. Its big :P A4 is the "standard" sized sheet of paper, which you would print onto, write onto etc in every day life. A3 is twice the size of A4. A2 is twice the size of 3, and A1 is, obviously, twice the size of A2.)

This is so true... you are in your bed, your eyes fixing the ceiling and you try to not remember all the things you have to do for tomorrow morning. It's so annoying.

Just goto bed but set your alarm clock to wake you up early but just try to enjyoy yourself when you wakeup get some tea or something then start working on it again.

The biggest I ever had to do in Art was this huge four-panel painting, each panel about the size of an A2, but we got months to finish that. Anyway, yeah, I do hate that feeling.

Hard work may pay off in the future, but lazyness pays off now.

When it comes to artwork, if I'm not in the right frame of mind to do it, I just don't. You can't force yourself.

On the other hand, I get most of my best ideas when I'm going to sleep, so I tend to use that part of my day to get inspiration and generally wake up all enthusiastic about the day's work ahead.

I have much the same feeling when writing.

Looking mournfully at bed, and just thinking to myself:

"Just four thousand more words. Then I'll go to sleep, then wake up in the morning and probably delete three quarters of the inane babble I write tonight.

Being an extremely non-drawing/art type person, I admire someone who can sit down and create some artwork.

Same as what PiMuRho says, if your not in the mood don't do it, it'll just turn out shit if its forced.

Btw Sparrow A1 ain't so big really :)

I always have that feeling.. No wonder I keep loosing weight..

Hmm that's not how it is in Sweden though for some reason. A3 here is like 2 A4's on the y-axis & about 2 A4's on the x-axis. So 1 A3 = 4 A4. Well close to that anyway. Strange.

Um, what the?

A3 is the same size everywhere, it is twice the size of A4 here in sweden too.

Maybe I'm confusing it with another size. The A3 I know is just as I described. It's freaking huge.

You are both correct, and thinking of a piece of paper the same size.

The confusion lies in the fact that an A3 sheet is twice the width and height of A4 (hence people say twice as large), BUT it's 4 times the area of A4 (hence others say 4 times as large).

No, actually its twice is large. You can fit only two sheets of A4 into a sheet of A3.

TBH you should had done it earlier so its your own fault :P naughty farrow do your h/w earlier :p

art can't be forced. that's one of the reasons i gave up on it. that and I was a lazy bastard. I almost regret it now...

do something abstract. that makes it easier. trying to attain perfection makes it harder :P
