First of all, I plan to buy the game and the only reason I downloaded it is that I wanted to see how well it runs of my computer.

Now I downloaded the file called not helping warez kiddies, and the game runs fine and all, but when I go into the options and selects anything (display, sound, whatever), it just restarts the single player. How can I change the graphical settings.

Any help. Thanks.

I read that you can only leave the settings on medium, and if you change them it will crash. Just wait till it comes out.

Wait, figured it out myself. I was dissapointed though. At low, it always runs at 60 fps, at medium also around 60 fps, and at high it sometimes drops down to 40 fps. But, from my point of view, it's the same old same old. Nothing new but the graphics (which are far better than HL2), but the gameplay is just so stereotypical.

It will probably run faster after its released because the leak was un-optimized.

It's a very early version of the game. It's an alpha, if anything. Why does everyone judge a game by it's leaked version?

^ very true. The alpha will not be an accurate representation of the final code, we'll have to wait and see chaps.

(I think Doom 3 is going to suprise many people on release. The experience looks to set to be genuinely engaging and damn scary /o\)

No, I'm just saying that the core gameplay that I have seen it just like Doom 2, but yeah, I won't judge till I beat the retail game.
