You know the AUGEST 3rd came out about the same time that GEFORCES new cards came out... What if it was a ploy to get people to but the OPENGL supperior Nvidia cards? It could be a MULIPLAYER demo only at quakecon......

If you read that pice i posted. They had a GIANT demo in LA on the 6th aka 1 hr ago for those still up at 1 am. It essentialy was a little bit of Q&A but ID built this giant setup that literaly looked like it was in the game. Even the light that was above them flickerd like a in game light. They had 5.1 sound set up to show the sound aspects of doom3. The main pice was the 11 minutes IN GAME NOT PRE RENDERD VIDEO by ID. AKA dont expect to see the uber video online unless gamespy,spot or someone got a camera in.

Looks like Doom wants to use YO YO marketing as its working so well for valve. Since the nine inch nail dude was suppose to make the soundtrack for doom and still hasent i belive even started it... that could be what holds it up or they may just say to heck with him but they have to have a soundtrack, they are marketing this game as a movie. Ever chance they get they let us know that the dude from shrek helped make this game and camera angles have never looked this good and the game is so cineamatic and blah blah blah hehe. It has to have it , period.

Okay I looked at it. This article is actually very old. Somehow the dates got screwed up. It says they were at a booth at E3. And besides, look at the screenshots. Their dates say they were released today and yet they were released a long time ago.

*if yer just now checking this last page and dont live under a rock like me you will see that gamespy has indeed taken a old article and somehow changed the article date to yesterday. PC Gamer does bullshit a lot, I agree. But what would they say when people are expecting in a review in the next issue? "sorry folks, we were thinking we could get a review but..."

Anyway, even nVidia "The way it's meant to be played" site said they'd be getting a review on Doom 3 on 25th July 2004.

They got Chris Vrenna (used to be in the live NIN band) on board to do the soundtrack and sound effects after Trent Reznor left to finish his album (hahaha). He's also done American McGee's Alice.

That is true.. but it will still have very little music. It is going to be more like HL's music cues than Doom's constant level music.
