not sure if this is real, doesn't look that legit to me, but have a look

Yeah, its old news, and people immidietly pointed out it was just speculation...

The funniest thing is the GeForce 3 TI/ATi 9600 Pro demand for minimum. Its hilarious to be exact. It isnt even the same generation!!! 9600 is DX9 for gods sake, G3 is what, DX7 or 8?

And of course, GeForce 4 TI 4400/4600/ATi 9700/Pro is equally hilarious as there to its DX8 cards VS DX9 cards.

But that's what one get for using crummy old OpenGl coding, my guess would be he will loose alot of ATI players because of this... But on the other hand gain alot of Nvidia players, but I suppose that is the point.
 
With all the hubbub floating around the net lately about what would and what wouldn't run DOOM³, we decided to bring an end to the system requirement confusion and contact the main man, John Carmack, himself. Here is the official word on the minimum system configuration you'll need to run Doom³.

1GHz CPU
256MB RAM
GF1 or Radeon 7xxx series card

Don't expect to run it fabulous with that system setup , but everything will be playable at least.

Yea... C++ code doesn't work on forums. So you can't include any header files or print anything.
 
it was a joke, look..... it says #include<rant.h> because I'm having a rant :p it's C not C++ btw, and sorry if I confused ppl
 
OpenGL is fast and very nice (but a little outdated. But i think the coding guru carmack can change that in a sec). i think its good that someone uses OpenGL, it much faster then DirectX.

They're not "new." German sites are known for freely posting screenshots of the Alpha version. That's nothing new.

Also, since when the the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro become the "standard" requirement? Up until now I thought it was "the ideal target for doom3's rendering system" for Doom 3 according to John Carmack. I was expecting it to be the optimal. :(
