Doom III replay

First off let me say I really enjoyed playing doom III the first time, and thought it was verry scary and also very fun. Anyway today I went to play it again because I was bored. After about 10 min of play, I was bored to death. All of the scary and fun of it was just gone, has anyone else noticed this?

Put on some good music, turn on GOD mode, give yourself a bunch of shells for your shotgun and have fun. That's what I do.

[Edit]: Don't turn on God Mode if you want a bit of a challenge.

yeah its like classic doom, it was scary and all the first time to an extent but after that it was just about wasting dudes.
i dunno how doom3 will hold up in that regard thoguh, its a bit too cramped.

what a let-down of a game.
with absolutely no replay value.. even though I have finished it first in difficult then in Nightmare...it was merely to blast stuff.... Doom3 is not a horror fps,it isnt scary in the least bit, its merely a horror inspired action game/doom1 with better gfx.

I agree. I paid almost $60 for Doom 3 and can't get through it a second time. I paid $25.00 for HL when it first came out and have played it at least 3 times a year since.

If you played through it on recruit, play again on high difficulty level :thumbs: thats what I did. First recruit, then marine, and now I'm going through it AGAIN on Veteran Doom 3 is ownage
