Problem: Doom3 crashes to windows when I play about 1 till 10 mins. It usally happens when I'm in a firefight. It just exiting itself and returning to windows. Also the benchmark program 3DMark2003 sometimes crashes to the desktop. I have no idea where that come from. Btw my Benchmark score is around 12500 with 3DMark2003!
specs:
Antec TruePower 380Watt. <-- alot of ppl saying that is good enought for my system.
AMD Athlon64 3800+
1GB mem (cas 2-3-2-6 <-- default settings, Corsair TWINX1024-3200LLPT)
^^ I've tested the mem for about 1.5 hour and getting zero errors!
MSI K8N neo2 Platinum-54 motherboard
Audigy 2 ZS
Sapphire X800XT PE
Things I've already tried:
installed the newest mobo drivers and ATi drivers (even the 4.9beta)
Playing D3 with SP1 and SP2, with DX9.0b/DX9.0c, completely reinstalled windows XP and slipstreaming SP2, disabeling 'fast writes' in BIOS, underclocking the mem/gpu of the gfx card. Increasing the AGP volts, increasing the Vcore volts, increasing the mem volts, underclocking system memory (to cas 2.5/3), using defragmenter. Using Doom3 on lower gfx settings (medium quality, no aa etc.) Nothing seems to work.
Any thougths?
