door stuck, please help

playing the demo of HL2, at the start you meet your old mate & talk to a professor then he sends you through a back door, you climb a ladder, move a box and jump out of a window, the door in that courtyard is stuck for me, its slightly open but it wont move..

am i missing something? how could this be?

out of ideas.. anyone?
