In an interview with Computer & Videogames, Doug Lombardi (Valve's Marketing Director) answers questions regarding Steam and its future.
Do you have an ultimate vision for Steam and how far down the road are you to achieving it?[br]Doug Lombardi: Our goal is to provide value to gamers and tools to game developers and publishers. With new types of content and technology debuting constantly, it's unclear that a final "ultimate vision" will present itself as we tend to continually iterate on our products as new capabilities are enabled.[br]Steam has certainly evolved in the past year alone, and we've got many new features planned for 2007 and beyond.

Man i was so hyped when i saw this but it turned out to be nothing. :/

I NEED EPISODE 2!!!!

Free weekends sounds like fun for games that one's hesitant to buy but looks like fun (where there's not already a demo), unless it's something entirely different.

Eh. Nothing interesting, really. Just more of the same.

I was hoping we'd learn what they plan to do about getting Steam games to appear correctly in Vista Games Explorer.
