Alot of devs do this to market their sequels or new games in the series. The H&D guys did it, Irrational/Sierra did it with tribes (although it`s not their game), and now, Massive are doing it.

GC is an examply of all the is holy about strategy games. It's a true great, up there with Carrier Command, C&C, AOE and others.

Just a shame no-one bought it.
