First of all you've got to have Firefox v1.5
On this site, click "Install Greasemonkey" to install the thing, and then restart Firefox for it to take effect. Then go here after you've installed Greasemonkey, and right-click the "YouTube To Me" link, and select "Install User Script" from the menu. Once it's installed go to YouTube, and select a video, and then a red bar goes across the top of the website saying "save as" download to flash video", the red bar looks like this. Don't right-click and save as, instead just click it, and then the video will be downloaded just as any other file, and when you have the video it'll be a flv (flash) file, you need to run it with VLC Media player, which can be found here.
You can also download the Google Video script, just like you did with the YouTube one, it works the same way.
