Are the files in the Downloads folder (counter-strike source\cstrike\downloads) safe to delete? Theres like 902 files in this folder.

Also, does this downloads folder work as a chache folder ala UT's cache folder?

I'm only guessing now, but cos its a download folder, i would guess there small downloaded packets of data from servers you've played on.
Considering mine is also full but weighs in at only 11.4mb with 206 files.
I guess these are custom sounds and additions to maps that servers run.

Anyway to answer your question..I don't think its a good idea to delete them, since their not in a temporary folder and are obviously needed for something.
Surely you don't really need the 100mb maximum that their taking up?
