Hrm. Did a search, and was a 'tad'(notice, not very much) bit surprised to see that no thread mentions Dr Laura. Growing up my dad and uncle used to listen to her on the radio, and naturally I hated it. Talk radio. Bleh, crappy stuff. However, now that i'm an adult of a few years, this kind of stuff is much more interesting. The things Dr Laura talks about make sense to me now, and I find myself sharing many of the same views as her.
So i'm curious. Who here has ever heard of Dr. Laura, and who here has read any of her books? When I was in California, at my aunt's house I picked up their copy of "The Proper Care & Feeding Of Husbands", one of her latest books.
Damn weird name, almost borderline on 'sexist', but its surprisingly misleading. The book is meant for not only females, but guys as well. Heh. I've found she has some awesome views and advice, and is opposed to the feminist movements yet a staunch defender of women. Parental and Relationship advice from this woman is amazing, from what i've read and heard of her work.
Any of you older guys on these forums ever been mature enough to read some of this stuff? This isn't a topic for you teenagers unless by some rare chance, you've actually read her work.

So if you've advanced beyond the stage of being simply a horny teen and strive for more in your life in regards to relationships and stuff, in my opinion you cannot go wrong with dr laura.
