Saw this article in the NY Times today. Just in case you're wondering he's the guy who helped Valve create all those fancy facial animations in HL2.

He didn't help them himself, he merely made a study about wich muscels in your face create wich expression. That studie was done somewhen in the 70s, if im not mistaken.

Yeah they did, he works with mental patients and studies their faces, so everyone in HL2 is a retard, haha.

Did the guy say on the E3 vid that characters have 40 different muscles? If so, Ekman has added 3 muscles more . Or maybe the guy on the vid didn't feel like saying "forty-three".

I know Valve didn't use all the expressions, but maybe they cut down on a few of the facial muscles as well, anyway I thought he said over forty. I could be wrong.
