Should I be embarrassed or proud?
hell, they even kill off the Doctor the whole time.bored said:I was just reading some facts about the show and I never knew there are over 710 episodes of doctor who and the amount of deaths occured in the show are 810 and that's only onscreen, it's probably another 250 for off screen... and this is supposed to be a family show?

TheBleeding said:You should see the pictures of them out at the moment... they look AWESOME.
And K-9 is back, too! And Trigger from Only Fools And Horse as an nemesis to the Doctor.
Jintor said:Woo!
Daleks should be back, but there's going to be a bit of legal wrangling first - they're not bbc (intellectual) property, apparently.
TheBleeding said:Did you (anyone, actually) see that thingabout the Daleks and the porn movie thing? A load of girls running around a Spaceship before being... uh... 'plungered' and the such by Daleks...

No, it was just a porn film, but it was entirely legal because Daleks aren't copyrighted.Jintor said:Was it an episode?
Which Doctor?
Jintor said:Daleks aren't copyrighted? Wha? They're not copyrighted to the BBC, but they're copyrighted to some company. There are a lot of disputes going on over it - for example, the ABC over here in Australia has no access to any episodes that have Daleks in them because of the copyright disputes. They belong - *ducks into wikipedia* - to Terry Nation, or the Estate of Terry Nation. Or something.
Since when has Dr. Who been famed for the best looking stuff?StardogChampion said:I don't get why people like this. I watched the christmas episode and it was pretty cringeworthy. The doctor himself is a smarmy sarcastic twit, and I'm not sure how anyone could like him. His fight with the guy at the end was cringeworthy because of all his one-liners and talking.
Lets not even mention the special effects.
I can pinpoint the sections of the Christmas special I actually really enjoyed, and that was after the stupid Christmas minions left up to when the Doctor was revived by the tea/fusion generator reaction. So yeah, basically when Tennant wasn't in it. I didn't really enjoy the previous series, but Eccleston makes a far better Doctor. At least it actually looked like they threw some money at the show this time, although that may just be for the special. The mothership floating through the sky was glorious. Christ, also, I can't be the only one that wants to stab Rose's mother in the face, can I? There's a certain air about her acting and character that really makes the programme feel tacky.TheBleeding said:Terry Nation/Daleks and BBC kind of blend together because they've worked together so long or something, so I guess either has the choice. I really don't know. What I do know is that neither Terry or the BBC want this smut to be shown.
I hope.
I cringed at the new Doctor wuite a bit. Too happy. Although the other one was too. I preferred the older Doctors' style like Pertwee's or Baker's, but whatever. Its all good.
