Dragon Quest 10 Announced for the Wii...

At an event in Japan to play up the March 28th, 5,980 yen ($64.73 -- yeah, they're going to charge that much for it over there) release of Dragon Quest IX for DS, Square Enix just announced Dragon Quest X is coming to the Wii. Considered the most important game franchise in Japan, this Dragon Quest announcement is a huge win for Nintendo and its Wii console.

Sure, it's pretty much a no brainer since 9 is already coming to the DS and the hottest system right now is the Wii, but still a big blow to any hopes all of us fans had for a true "next-gen" Dragon Quest game.

The big question that does not seem to be answered yet is, "Who is developing it???" I would seriosuly hope that it is Level-5 again as they did an INCREDIBLE job with DQ8, but who knows. They have been rumored to be pretty darn busy of late...

Either way, great news for fans like me.
