Pre-production on the animated Dragonlance film is continuing apace, and the voice casting for the Companions has been completed. Kiefer Sutherland will be headlining as the voice of Raistlin Majere. Other case members will include Michael Rosenbaum (Justice League's Flash) as Tanis Half-Elven, Lucy Lawless as Goldmoon, Michelle Trachtenberg at Tika Waylan, and Jason Marsden as Tasslehoff Burrfoot. From the site: "The film is based on the first book in the Chronicles series, "Dragons of Autumn Twilight". The director is comics and TV animation veteran, Will Meugniot, and the screenplay has been adapted by George Strayton with plenty of involvement from Margaret and Tracy."

read the books as a kid ..the story was decent for a book aimed at young adults ..although I'm not so sure about an animated version ..and the director (Will Meugniot) doesnt have a lot of quality programs under his belt

surely there must be some dragonlance nerds amongst you?

Dragonlance is awsome! I read many of the books and they are one of my favorite series of all time. I will definately watch the animated movie whether or not it has potential to be good.

Its a really really huge series of fantasy books.

I read one book from that series... and I think it was the third one of that storyline so I was confuzled. I didnt like it much anyways.

If they were making a movie for the A Song of Ice and Fire series I would be excited though.

A Song of Ice and Fire HBO series would be the best thing ever.

A Dragonlance animated film though? Could be good, we'll see.

I loved Dragonlance, damn fine series of fantasy novels

Hopefully this will be a good one

I know of them, but I've never broke into deep fantasy stuff outside of Tolkien and Pratchett (who barely counts).
