This is my place where Ill post all my drawings and sometimes other stuff, like Photoshop stuff. Ive only got one drawing to show for now, but Ill add more later.

A baseball bat thing I drew durning lunch. About 15-20min total:

Could use a bit of work, but Im not to concerned about that now.

And I will take requests on things to draw, as long as its not something 'stupid' or inappropriate.

And this is half-way a drawing. I colored it in Photoshop. It was more of a test to see how to color it and all. It was made for something for my brothers hockeyteam.

Do you think that it would be possible for you to draw a Tripod? (sorta like a Strider, but bigger)

Yeah, I know it's hard to see, but you could use your imagination.

WOW, that is a photocopy right?
... and no you can't rent WOTW (well atleast the new one) untill after the summer sometime. You'll probably have to wait untill May 19th to see anymore images of the Tripod.

yep.. pretty sure the image I linked to was much larger than that, and was on the Tom Cruise site. There were two IIRC.

Are you sure that concept was created for the Paramount movie? I really don't think that it has any resemblance to the screen capture from the trailer... maybe it's just to throw us off though...

AFAIK it was an official concept. Course I'm not saying if it was the final concept. Films can go through between 30 to 3,000 concepts for just one thing, especially for something as important as the martian fighting machines.

Oh, ok, thanks for clearing that up.
I was just suspicious because it looks like a London backdrop, while the film takes place in the US.

I'd not let that throw you. I've done lots of concepts where the setting has no real relevance to the actual project itself (the brain model for example, that image of it on a metal pole had no connection to the project atall)

Besides, when you do a WotW related image, you _always_ have to use big ben, its da law

Thats my mate, thats who that is. Bloody good artist. Tom Kidd, illustrated a WotW book, its his designs I have permission to use if I ever choose to, should see some of his others, its the best FM design (asides from my biomechanic ones which I don't think I've shown on here yet (not the above biomech one, that was just for fun heh)

I prefer his martian design too, better than the others I've seen.. Check out his sketches, there's a city sized fighting machine somewhere, I still wanna model that one lol.

You guys are kinda getting off topic... but its somewhat relevant.

Anyways, Im gunna scan some more pictures that I did awhile ago and put them up. Ill try and draw that tripod thing, but which one should I draw, the strider looking one or the bigger robot looking one?

Try and draw your own style, like a mix between the two , just make sure it doesn't look too much like a Strider. (Oh, and make sure it has tentacles, If you're going to do a WOTW Fighting Machine. )

I drew this for art. We had to draw a plant, so this is what I drew. Its some-what recent(like a week old I guess).

Just a combination of an Mac14(see next pic) and an M4 I did. I know it wouldnt work out or anything as a real gun, I just though it looked cool.

This is my gun based off of the Mac11. I called it a Mac14, because I was 14 at the time.

A knife I drew of boredom. Its based off of a knife I saw at this old website, but I cant remember what it was called.

And thats it. I had to resize some of the pictures because 3000x2300 was kinda big. Some quality might have been lost, but only a hardly noticible amount.

Meh... a concept for the tripod thing. Its ok, but the overall design needs some work. It looks to much like a strider, but so did the other ones. Well, they based the strider on it Im guessing but anyway... here you go...

Sorry for the triple post, but no one has replied to my topic since my last 2 posts.

But, I have a picture that I did awhile ago for art. Awhile ago meaning about 3 hours ago. Its of my backyard, took 45 min. And it looks better in real life... but for some reason it looks kind of weird I guess on the computer. I also had to size it down alot because the file was over 100kb.

Woah. I just found like (litteraly)50 drawings and things that Ive done and stuff, so Im gunna scan them all and put them up. Theres just so many good ones and I have to scan them all. Expect to see them whenever I get done scanning... which would take like 30min.

Someone please reply by then so I dont have to triple post lol.

Maybe it's just me, but I think you should cut off on the war drawings. Your other drawings are great, but war... Let's just say war isn't a great thing. Please though, don't listen to me if you disagree.

If you are going to draw more war stuff, you should try concentrating on soldiers and the effects of war. Most beautiful war art is about that rather than about the war itself.

Otherwise, you have some nice drawings. Keep drawing.

EDIT: also, you should try drawing more people. People are awesome to draw .

Lol, I knew someone would say something like that. But ya, those are mostly old, Im trying to get more into 3d-ish kinda stuff. I also want to draw soldiers kind upclose as shortrecoil did in the 'Design a character" thread, in contests section. But thanks...

I'd agree with Someone, in that you should concentrate more on drawing people, proportion, that kind of thing. Proportion. Proportion's a bugger.

Ya, I think Im getting better at proportion. I just havent really showed any pictures because they were more "tests" than actual drawings. I did one drawing today that looks rather nice (yes its about war though), but as I said, its more of a test. Ill redraw the picture on better paper and make it look nice later. Hopwfully you guys will like it. Its kind of along the lines of what TheSomeone said.
