I was just sat at my desk and i decided ( feeling quite murky)

To draw dreams which scared the hell out of me or ones in which i died in,

This one is the worst dream i ever had

Link : http://img93.exs.cx/img93/8400/falling5yc.jpg

Me being chased by a rather evil dark thing ( not in pic ) and ending up falling, however on that particular dream in a semi conscious state still falling i decided i wouldnt wake up and i kept falling and falling and it was bad when i finally woke up i was feleing even crapper.

Hmm a draw your own dreams thread... that could work out really well.

I'd draw part of one i had last night, but since im seriously considering the possibility of a business using something from it, I'm not gonna :p

I could draw the other though I suppose, or that one from when I was really young, i remember that one, very scary, hmm, damn I'll probably go dream that one again tonight and scare the crap out of myself, cheers for that :p

Good idea, however I have no time today, and can't remember any dreams right now anyways... :p :p

I'll come back tomorrow..... :)

That wouldnt actually be such a bad idea for a thread. :)
Dreams can be a good inspiration source.
Hmm, once when I was a little girl, I woke up screaming when someone went "BOO!" . I saw pair of red eyes and row of teeth, I jumped off the bed screaming, and heard a horrible laugh that continued long after I was out of the room. Its horrible when dreams can be so real sometimes :(
I´ve posted a pic of it before and everyones probably seen it, but what the heck :p

Whoa, thats really nice Toffee! :)...in an artistic view, not as in it was good that you had that in your nighmares

God damn, I'd freak out if I saw that in my dreams. My dreams aren't usually like that, they're generally just twisted versions of reality - they don't look strange in a still picture but everything keeps twisting and morphing and time changes speeds and direction and stuff...

oh great, now im never gonna get any sleep :p

You need to learn to model. Would look great as a 3D model moving about looking all evil n stuff hehe.

thanks! Apparently everyone hasnt seen it before then :E
well, I improvised. I could only make out the horrible face. But yeah, it was the scariest thing I had ever seen in my dreams. :(
Oh yeah TDE, I´m certainly going to do some modelling in near future, once I get to upgrade my comp :)

I thought it had red eyes.. :E

I forgot..besides, I didnt know how to colour back then, so its only got a sepia tone on it. :p

I'm not sure how I could draw my recurring dream, maybe as some sort of animation. I'm climbing some rocks on a beach, and I get up pretty high, then I reach my hand ontop of a boulder to pull myself up to the next level, but it has sand ontop and my hand slips and I fall back, then I get that strange feeling in my heart area and wake up. Scary.

I dreamed A LOT, probably due to bad cheese. :p But I forgot all of them the next day :(

It is possible to control your dreams. I've done it once or twice but woke up very shortly after taking the reigns.

When you dream the only think that doest remain constant is text. Be it streets signs, shop signs whatever. If you look at it more than once it will never say the same thing.

Ever read a book in a dream and the pages are complete jibberish but some how it still makes sense? Thats what I'm talking about. It is hard to do but when you do it is nuts.

Last night I dreamt I had trees growing out of my hands, I kept having to pull out the little sprouts which kind of hurt. Thats the most ****ed dream I've had recently. God knows what that represents.

this was the only true nightmare I've had in years, reconstructed with rudimentary photoshop ability

the voice, the voice of that crow is enough to drive fear into your very SOUL. I couldn't make it grotesque enough to depict what it was like.

Ooo i have an interesting story about that subject.

There was a belgian (or maybe french, i dunno, lets just say he was european) conductor who fell asleep one night and dreamt that the Devil played him an absolutely fabulous melody on a violin. That morning he woke up, and immediately tried to pen down that melody onto paper, but was immediately displeased with his effort as he claimed it was nothing like the version the Devil played.

The modern version of that song, is now known as "Yesterday" by Paul McCartney. You know what the creepy thing about that is? Paul McCartney composed the song one night after a dream he had. No devil in this one though. But still, creepy isnt it. I wish i could remember the name of that conductor though

I think the real events in that story was more like..

Paul McCartney pens a song after a dream

Song becomes popular

Misc Conductor bloke claims to have done it first to anyone on the bus who listens and if they don't he fines them

;)

Oh yeah, I once got this dream 3 days before HL2 was delayed where there's truckload of Gman staring at me and saying "AYBABTU" It's actuall kinda silly but I'll post it anyway :p

But this was in the 17th century though. Yeah i should've included that tidbit of info, shouldn't i.

Very nice, I dont remember my dreams, although when I was younger, I wrote about one... it was really odd

I love nightmares wish i remember my dreams more.

I guess you are right on that one.
I realized I had played too much Doom1 once when I started seeing nightmares, where I was in the game and all those monsters from Doom were chasing me and tried to kill me. It was horrible :x

Yeah, but not just the HL2 engine- Quake, Unreal, even RTS builds...

...sorry. Twice I've made a bad joke from a quote in as many days.

When I was feverish, I used to have a recurring nightmare regarding a dystopian civillisation that always ended with warping visuals. And a door with an unspeakable vortex of eye-violating shades of light behind it- always inspired me with inhuman terror for some reason. Sounds like game inspired graphical corruption if I ever heard it, even though this was back in '91...

I usually dreamed that I was walking on a flat floor and suddenly it gave away and I fell into a deep chasm....then I woke up :p
