So heres the rub:
When I open up My Computer or just try to bring up my drive list in any program, it takes like 30 seconds for the thing to populate (with my hard drives and opitical drives, etc).
However, if I just type a drive letter instead of trying to populate the "My Computer" list, I can access my drives immediatly.
I after I saw this problem, I noticed that for some reason my slave drive was not working, so I unplugged it and pluged it back in, and it's working fine. And for some reason the paging file that I have set to that slave drive deleted itself a coupple times and I had to re-set it. It seems stable now.
I've been digging through Google for the past hour reading over other similar problems, and no fixes have worked:
Disable WIA (which wasnt started in the first place)
Spyware/Virus scan etc
Disable optical drives
Disable any maped network drives
and so on...
I even hit up a restore point from a couple days ago, to make sure that the new Nvidia beta driver didnt mess me up.
The damn thing still takes at least 30 seconds to load my drive list.
