well i'm takeing drivers ed finally.. at 16 and 1/2.. and it's rather dull. There are some really big dumbasses there tho.. two girls in our class just talk and giggle the whole time.. i'd never trust them behind the wheel. I'm just curious as to what your experiences with drivers ed were like.. and if the test was hard for you.. because I know i'l be kinda nervous.

I don't see why people have so many problems learning how to drive a car as it just seems so simple, even though i've never been behind the wheel. The only problem i can see me ever having would be confidence, which would come with experience.

everybody thinks they are a fabulous driver. It's how we are, and we think that because you cant communicate your anger to someone else in another car. I dont even have a horn in my car, and it nearly cost me my front end yesterday when someone nearly backed up into me, luckily there wasnt a car behind me, so i was able to reverse out of it pretty quick.

I was driving a girl home after a movie one one night, and she lives in one of those gated communities. Anyway, she has speed bumps on the roads, my car has 475lb H&R race springs and bilstein cupkit struts along with all new polyeurethane bushings for all the suspension components and front end, needless to say my car doesnt like large bumps. So i end up going nearly 2mph over them, and she looks over and says, "When im in my car i drive over them at like 25pmh because it doesnt feel as bad then, i think thats why they're called speed bumps, cause your suppose to speed over them."

..right, tell that to the mechanic when he needs to realign your front end

there's plenty of terriable drivers, who are terriable because they arent thinking.
1.) People who just use mirrors when merging
2.) People who drive under the speed limit
3.) People who create 'rolling road blocks' (driving next to someone on a 2 lane road)
4.) People who don't move over when they are blocking merging traffic
5.) People who go slow so they can see the accident/ticketed car
6.) People who cant make up their minds (light turns yellow and they accelerate, then brake hard)
7.) People who brake the full distance of the corner! Your brake BEFORE a corner then drive through it!
8.) People who try and be nice by letting people in, not realizing theres 14 people behind them who need to be somewhere
9.) People who park next to me when i intentionally parked this far away to get away from you people
10.) People who don't realize they do these things. Ignornace is bliss isnt it?

i remember taking drivers ed and sitting in the back of the class with all the idiots (mainly cause there were some hot girls there) and they all tried to cheat on all the quizzes, and they still only got half of them right, while i paid attention and got almost a 100% quiz average

anyway, there's a helluva lot of dumbasses and jackasses on the road, just watch out, and make sure you can parallel park

:naughty: I took a two weeked drivers ed class for $180. Easy shit, fo sho.

It is crazy boring. I had like 3 weeks of it on tuesdays and thursdays. Good for getting a discount on car insurance though.

I never took drivers ed for a reason, I didn't trust anyone in my grade behind the wheel.

I took it right when I turned 15 and was pretty fun cause I had a few of my friends in it and we would bring mcdonalds in and even sometimes coolers of all this food and drinks and just eat the entire time and do nothing else.

I will start practice driving soon, but I can't take licence until I'm 18.

Bolded are things I do on purpose :D See I get a friend and create a rolling ro******* on the major road where you're supposed to go 45. Me and a friend will be driving next to each other, and a guy will be riding his ass.. I'll speed up a bit, the dude will get in my lane, I brake to slow so he can't get in front of the friend, then the friend accelerates, the dude will get behind him, and it's just a rinse repeat thing. Hillarious as all hell

And I part next to people who take up 4 different spots because they don't want anybody to "Scratch their pant job" or because their Riced out ugly POS is too cool. Well, they key my car etc..but you shoudl see the body, I don't really care about some scratches :p And my Digi video camera catches anything illegal they do *take out my radio..boy that kid was scared shitless when he saw me in HIS car...lmfao...

But yeah, things you do to piss people off on purpose... :D

Anyway on topic....I never took drivers ed. My boss took me home when we closed the store at like 12..and he would let me drive. Then again, I was 17 going on 18 ,and I coudln't get my permit because I didn't have a birth certificate *got lost during the divorce* and I had to end up getting my license straight at 18...I didn't mind though, I was too poor to afford a car before that...

Driver's Ed was the most boring two weeks of my life.

I was a bit scared getting behind the wheel for the first time though.

I drove for like a week before getting my liscence
Needless to say, i sucked ^_^
I didn't even know how to park, she had to help me
I still got my liscense.. somehow.
I havent driven once since i got it like 2 years ago though.

I enjoy driving, got my license 3 or 4 years ago, but only recently have had the opportunity for lots of driving. Lots of fun.

You just wait, you're going to meet a big rig guy that will get pissed off at you, run you off the road and bbq your arse before eating it. You can't come crawling back to me then to say "You were right and i was wrong, Razor".:dozey:

Let me take you on a ride, I'll flip the car 3 times, we will both come out with scratches. Then tell me if you ever want to drive again. :naughty:

Try that in the UK and you'd get your car smashed in. Then some Vinnie Jones type character would get out then break your face. He wouldn't care about any video camera either.

i can take my test tomorrow, but i have to work, so im going to have to wait a few days till i can take it

My drivers ed was a 4 hour course. Road test next week.

Oh yeah and a guy taught me parrallel parking for about an hour a few weeks ago.

Drivers ed was a sinch, at least the writting parts were. I still don't trust myself behind the wheel. I'm a born lead-foot. I try to avoid driving as much as possible for fear that I will screw up and hurt someone.

I missed today because of a doctors appointment.. i'm not sure which is worse which is sad

Ah!

Drivers Ed. What a magical time. Did they show you that video of all the horrible accidents by chance?

I say they should up the age requirement for getting a license. I've seen to many hot heads get their license to soon and end up flipping their car.
