Drivers for 6800 series?

Guys/girls/gurus,

I almost only exclusively play BF2 these days on my computer. Im running a 6800gt (AGP) and using some very dated 78.01 (i think) drivers.
I cant help wondering that I might get a performance increase from newer drivers, but BF2 is a very fickle program, and while it works atm, I dont want to unessecarily screw it up...
SO, if there is someone out there with 6800 series vid card using recent drivers without problems i'd like to know, as would i love to hear any recommendations for drivers that might help me got better framerates. (Im too much of a pussy to experiment- plus i dont have the time to fix any screw ups)

Err.. I'm pretty sure the latest Nvidia drivers won't mess things up, if anything it's DiCE you should be worried about f**king things up.

Ive gone for the 84.21 drivers, seems to be just as good if not a better framerate when I run out of memory and it starts chugging, so all good there.

Usually newer drivers give a slight increase in FPS for some games. The drivers you have installed may be pre-BF2 or whatever, and nvidia may have updated some code to help BF2 run better since that driver version.
