gun turrets being naughty

On the level 'Entanglement' there are a couple of sections where you have to defend an area with the help of some gun-turretts, while your lady-friend is doing some technical computer hacking to try and get you out.
The nice lady tells you that she'll reset the turrets to kill the enemy, but my turrets never do. I just set them out, and they let the enemy run past, but still shoot at me if i get in the way.
I'm at the second room,and i can hold out about three waves on my own, but its looking quite tricky

Why is this? Am i doing something wrong? Or is that how it's meant to be?

you do realise that the word "droid" is property of Mr George Lucas. In Half Life 2, they are sentry guns. LOL! The amount of people that make this mistake.....

Thats certainly not the way its supposed to be at all, they should be shooting the Combine and letting you do very little of the actual work. Not sure why they would'nt be targeting the Combine. Have you tried reloading a save from the start of that part to see if it'll work?

I'm having the same problem, exactly, and it's really really annoying me...
